Dansby Swanson, SS (Atlanta Braves)

2012: The former Marietta Blue Devil is drafted by the Colorado Rockies and signs a baseball scholarship with Vanderbilt University

2014: Swanson wins the college world series with Vanderbilt University and earns College World Series MVP.

2015: Swanson selected first overall in the Major League Baseball Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks

Drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 21st round of the 1995 MLB June Amateur Draft from Marietta HS (Marietta, GA) and the Florida Marlins in the 12th round of the 1998 MLB June Amateur Draft from Furman University (Greenville, SC).

Played in the minor leagues from 1998 - 2002, in A and AA leagues.
